A MAN who carried out a vicious attack on his partner over Christmas has been jailed for 32 months.
Lloyd Brown, 38, battered the woman between December 24-25 last year in Irvine's Broomlands Drive.
He admitted repeatedly punching and kicking the woman on the head and body between both dates.
Brown also pleaded guilty to possessing a knife on the same dates.
He previously admitted the offences at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court and returned to the dock for sentencing.
Brown was sentenced to 16 months consecutively on both charges.
A three-year non-harassment order was also granted meaning Brown must not contact the woman or enter Broomlands Drive
