A FILM crew have been using Irvine's Scottish Maritime Museum to set the scene for a new BBC crime drama starring Douglas Henshall.
New two-part murder mystery 'Shetland', which is likely to hit screens before Christmas, sees the Scottish actor play Detective Jimmy Perez.
The Scottish Maritime Museum's Puffer shop was turned into a film set for the drama and Harbourside-based artist Chick McGeehan was thrilled when his paintings were unexpectedly hired for the crime thriller. Viewers will be able to see two of Chick's paintings hanging in main character Detective Perez's home when the drama is broadcast.
