HERE at the Times we have been following the second coming (so to speak) of Irvine's own Stewartie Adams.
As readers will know, Stewartie was the singer in 80s rockers Lyin Rampant.
It had appeared that the musical heyday was long past, but last year Stewartie got word from Italian heavy metal label 'Heart of Steel' that they were interested in re-releasing the album.
The CD was released later in 2008.
Despite a potential Italian festival reunion being scuppered, a beer-imbued gathering in Glasgow has fueled hopes of the lads getting back onstage together.
Stewartie told us: "After 22 years,Tam,Eddie and Cami, and one of our old mates from Gun, Drummer Alan Thornton met up in the Rock cafe for a few drinks.
"We talked about if the right gig came up that we were all up for it again.
"It was just like old times again apart from all lookin a bit older, so a reunion looks a litte closer.
"Eddie's been working on some new songs and wants me to go into his studio and put the vocals on ,So i'm looking forward to doing that again sometime soon." Visit www.myspace.com/lyinrampant for the latest
