Members of the North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership attended the launch of this year’s Fire Starter Festival in Edinburgh on Monday where they revealed their quirky piece ‘Neebors’.
Inspired by HSCP’s Thinking Different, Doing Better experience, ‘Neebors’ are a collection of sculptural figures created by people who live and work in North Ayrshire. The profiles attached to the figures are based on the lives of real people and together the collection represents the diversity of the North Ayrshire community.
The showing is also aimed at showing both the challenges and the achievements of those working in health and social care across the region.
Fire Starter Festival explores creativity in Scottish public services and examines the role the arts play in shaping Scotland’s future.
‘Neebors’ can be found at the National Portrait Gallery of Scotland in Edinburgh until 14 February.
