A SPONSORED walk organised by an Ayrshire College student has raised £300 for charity.
Brett McKenzie, from Saltcoats, had the idea to walk from the college’s Kilwinning Campus to Eglinton Park and back as part of a project link up with the University of the West of Scotland.
Brett’s project, Half Time, is part of his placement at the university, helps to spread the word about male mental health and suicide prevention.
The walk took place last week and pictured is Brett alongside those who braved the cold to get the message out there.
Money raised will be split between Movember and mental health and suicide prevention.
Thanks to a New Hope, a male support group based in North Ayrshire and to the Ayshire College Students Association who helped to support the walk on the day.
