History was made during Marymass last week after a woman won the Greasy Pole ham.
Irvine’s Premier Late Store on Bank Street announced a special virtual Marymass competition with the first prize a large traditional Greasy Pole-themed ham supplied by J&A Quinns.
And the winner was Heather McKie, who was provided with a certificate before picking up her prize from the butcher.
Second prize winner Tricia Beaton won horse riding lessons, and third prize winner was Michelle Harvie who secured a bottle of Havana Club.
Harjit Sapkota from the shop said: “Huge thank you to everyone that entered. Thank you Provost Ian Clarkson for picking the winners, Thank you to JA Quinn’s for the Ham and thank you Greenacres Riding centre.
