Armed police raid Pennyburn home after drive-by shooting in Beith
Armed police raided a property in Pennyburn last night in connection with a drive-by shooting in Beith.
Police attended an address in Cambusdoon Place, Kilwinning last night [Thursday] with a warrant.
Police Scotland confirmed this was in connection with a shooting in Beith this week involving a 19-year old male and woman aged 53 - with enquiries ongoing.
A spokesperson said: "A warrant was executed at an address in Cambusdoon Place, Kilwinning, around 8.30pm on Thursday, December 3.
"This was in connection with a report of a firearm being discharged on Hawthorn Crescent, Beith, earlier that day.
"Enquiries remain ongoing."
