A Glasgow teenager was arrested in Irvine High Street earlier this month for breaking coronavirus rules.
The incident happened on April 2 prior to the lifting of travel restrictions.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At approximately 1pm on April 2 a 19-year-old from Glasgow was cautioned and charged with an offence under the Coronavirus Act after police had reason to speak with him on High Street, Irvine.
"He will be subject to a report to the Procurator Fiscal."
