North Ayrshire Ice Hockey Club ‘s (NAIHC) under 16’s team, the Predators, marked their competitive return with a friendly loss to Kirkcaldy Junior Ice Hockey Club.
The Predators welcomed Kirkcaldy to Auchenharvie Leisure Centre in Stevenston for their first friendly match a long time due to COVID-19 restrictions on Saturday night.
Both sides fought hard and skated harder throughout the entire game, shaking off any rust before the start of the competitive season.
The away side ran out eventual winners, with the Predators’ Conor Wood winning the Man of the Match award for his solid performance in defence.
As the club begins to get back into full swing their Mini-Gliders, learn to skate classes for 3-4 year olds, start on September 4.
More of their Rookie Revolution sides are back in competitive action as well, with both the under 14’s and under 19’s due to take on Kirkcaldy.
