Contact tracing is underway at a North Ayrshire pub following a confirmed positive case of Covid-19.
NHS Ayrshire & Arran’s Test and Protect team are undertaking a risk assessment within Alton Inn, Kilwinning, to identify individuals who may have had contact with the confirmed case.
The individuals are being contacted and told to self-isolate.
Customers who were in the pub on or around Saturday, December 4 are also being asked to get tested even if they have no symptoms.
Lynne McNiven, director of public health, said: "If you have visited the Alton Inn, on or around 4 December and have now developed any of the symptoms such as a fever, new persistent cough or loss of taste or smell you need to self-isolate immediately and book a test, accessible by calling 119 or visiting www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test.
"People living in Ayrshire and Arran are reminded to follow the current to help stop the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19) in our communities.
"The local vaccination programme continues to invite Ayrshire residents forward for their Covid-19 vaccine. The vaccine offers the best level of protection against the virus and we encourage everyone to take the opportunity when it’s their turn."
