The A78 northbound in Irvine has been cleared following an accident at the Warrix and Eglinton Interchange earlier this morning.
Traffic Scotland confirmed the incident at 8.25am with reports coming in about the accident as early as 7.53am.
Emergency services were on the scene and the road was restricted for a period of time but this has since been cleared, as confirmed by traffic Scotland at 10.05am.

An eyewitness account claims that a car spun before colliding with another travelling in the same direction.
Police have since updated us on the incident.
A spokesperson said: "A report of a road traffic collision at the Warrix roundabout A78 at A71 was made on the morning of 04/02/2022. Police attended. No reported injuries.
"Two damaged vehicles caused a block in the road which was therefore temporarily closed for the safety of other road users. Traffic Scotland were made aware, the damaged vehicles were uplifted and the road is now clear."
