PUPILS at an Irvine primary school were inspired by Scottish poetry to put paintbrush to paper and create their own eye-catching artworks.
Written celebrations of Scottish culture are popular features of the curriculum at many Ayrshire schools during Burns season – but Annick Primary School’s P4a class took a slightly different tack by spending an afternoon using watercolours to sketch and paint a scene chosen from a Scots poem.
The colourful results certainly caught the eye of staff and schoolmates alike.
