People in Dreghorn have united around Ukraine with donations and banners after the Russian invasion.
Residents have packed out the village's Dunlop Memorial Hall with donations after Irvine And Dreghorn Brass Band members appealed for goods to be driven over to Poland – while Graham Crawley of Auld Lang Signs made ‘Dregin Supports Ukraine’ banners and stickers for a “wind up”.
Mr Crawley said: “We’re selling them as stickers. £1 covers the cost and £1 goes to support the Ukraine charity. It’s one thing about Dreghorn they all stick together.
“It’s just absolutely shocking what’s happening in Ukraine and it seems to be a lot of lies and obfuscation from Putin.”
Irvine and Dreghorn Brass said: “Thank you to everyone who has donated clothing or other items this weekend.
"The response has been truly overwhelming. So much so that we are now out of space and cannot accept any more donations just now! If we free up some space again we will let everyone know.”
