Irvine Meadow have announced the shock departure of Mick Wardrope to Auchinleck Talbot.
The midfielder has joined up with Meadow's West of Scotland Football League rivals as the Premier Division season approaches its climax.
It is reported that the Bot had an offer knocked back for the ex-Kilwinning Rangers man last week.
However, they have persisted in their efforts and managed to secure Medda's top goalscorer on a deal this week.
He could be in line to make his debut for Talbot this Saturday, March 26, against Bonnyton Thistle.
Irvine Meadow co-manager Colin Spence took to Twitter to react to the news saying: "All the best to Michael, been a pleasure to work with.
"Top player and a great lad."
Meadow are next in action against Blantyre Victoria at the KG Stadium on Saturday.
