A FORMER toilet block within an Irvine car park could become a hot food takeaway spot, if plans are approved by the council.
Applicant David Munro's submission to North Ayrshire officials details a brand-new takeaway including on-site premises consumption of food and drink at the car park in East Road.

The accompanying design statement states that the derelict building is now an "eyesore" and that the area, which sees heavy footfall and traffic during the day, "would greatly benefit from a repurposing and enlivening of the structure".
A further statement said: "The relatively remote location (from any nuisance sensitive buildings and spaces) enjoyed by the building is ideal to deliver a hot food facility that can benefit from the high level of foot-traffic generated from the car parking area and the pedestrian routes through the site."
