A council worker has suffered a head injury after a three-vehicle crash while working in Stevenston.
A vehicle is understood to have collided with another as well as a Streetscene sweeper vehicle just before 3pm today [Thursday, April 14] - causing damage to the wall outside Glencairn Primary School.
It is understood the driver of one vehicle involved in the crash fled the scene - while police added inquiries are continuing into the exact circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson: “Around 2.50pm on Thursday, 14 April 2022, police attended a report of a three vehicle crash in New Street, Stevenston.
“Officers attended and have called the Scottish Ambulance Service to attend as one man has sustained a head injury.
“Police enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances of the incident.”
