London-based singer songwriter Jon Allen is heading to Irvine’s Harbour Arts Centre for a gig on June 24.
A well kept secret on the music scene over the last decade, Allen has been described as a musicians, musician.
Currently, working on his sixth studio album, he has successfully carved out a career as a songwriter, producer and live performer.
His soulful, whiskey soaked voice perfectly compliments his Americana, roots and blues influences.
His breakthrough came after he performed on the BBC Later With Jools Holland show. He has toured extensively supporting many musical greats from Dionne Warwick to Emmylou Harris, Mark Knopfler, Damien Rice, Seal and Midge Ure to name but a few.
He is as comfortable as a solo performer as he is as the front man for The Luna Kings, a band made up of some of the countries finest session musicians.
Critics have described him as an engaging and hugely entertaining live act.
