Amazing event put on to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis charities
AN AMAZING charity event was held in Irvine’s Water Sports Club this weekend, raising money for those with Cystic Fibrosis (CF).
The fundraising event, organised by Amy McGhee, is part of the Walk for CF Step Challenge Month, an event which was set up in August 2018 following the passing of a close friend.
Since then the team has pledged to take on different step challenges and hill climbs, to raise funds and awareness.
They have raised over £5000 donated directly to CF research charities and local CF support in hospitals and gyms.
The funds from this event are to be evenly split up between two Cystic Fibrosis charities – The CF Trust and The Leanne Fund.
