A man who headbutted and injured a shop worker after throwing food at the victim has been caged.
Craig Mcllenan, 33, subjected the man to the attack in the course of his employment in the Savers store in Main Street, Prestwick on September 6 last year.
Mcllenan, of East Road, Irvine, repeatedly shouted, swore and threw an item of food at the complainer.
He then kicked a door in the till area – before loitering in the area and challenging the worker to a fight.
He then headbutted the complainer to his injury.
Mcllenan, who appeared from custody at Ayr Sheriff Court, was given six months imprisonment for each charge – to be served concurrently at the same time, but added to any time also previously ordered to be served in prison.
