AN IRVINE man waits to find out his sentence after he admitted kicking out at coppers in A&E at Crosshouse Hospital and making threats.
David Paton, 48, pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner likely to cause a reasonable person fear and alarm when he appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last Friday, August 26.
A not guilty plea to a second charge of breaching bail conditions was accepted by the procurator fiscal.
Paton admitted acting in an aggressive manner to police officers when in the accident and emergency department at Crosshouse Hospital on December 11, last year.
He also admitted shouting and swearing at the officers as well as making threats of violence.
The complaint states Paton committed the offence while out on bail – having been granted at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on July 9 last year.
Sentencing was deferred for reports and his bail was continued.
Paton, of Broomlands Gate, Irvine, will return to court at a later date.
