Police chased a car through Irvine this week before the occupants then fled the vehicle.
The driver of a black Honda Civic failed to stop on the A78 at around 4.50pm on Monday, September 12.
Police confirmed enquiries are ongoing to trace the individuals involved after the car was dumped in the town's Cheviot Way before the occupants fled the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A black Honda Civic car failed to stop when signalled to by police on the A78 near Irvine around 4.50pm on Monday, 12 September, 2022.
“Officers pursued the vehicle which was traced a short time later on Cheviot Way, Irvine.
"The occupants of the vehicle ran from the scene and enquiries are ongoing.
“Anyone with dash-cam footage who was in the area around the time of the incident, or anyone with information, should contact police via 101, quoting incident number 2457 of 12 September.”
