A 47-year-old man reported missing from Irvine has been traced safe and well, according to police.
William Dunne was last seen in Girdle Gate, Irvine around 1pm on Tuesday, October 11.
He is described as 5ft 5 inches tall, of stocky build, with a shaved head. He was wearing glasses and has a trimmed beard. He has tattoos on both wrists.
He was last seen wearing a dark coloured Adidas t-shirt, dark jeans and a green Parka-style jacket.
Police issued an appeal for help from the public to trace Mr Dunne on Tuesday evening, with Sergeant Melanie Fraser of Irvine police office saying: “We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of William.
“I am appealing for anyone with any information on his whereabouts to contact us. I would also appeal to William himself to get in touch and let us know he is safe.”
It was confirmed later on Tuesday night that Mr Dunne had been traced, with police thanking those who helped with their appeal.
