AN Ayr-based end of life service has fund-raised a five-figure sum at an October event.
The Ayrshire Hospice raised over £45,000 from its annual Autumn Ball at Seamill Hydro earlier this month.
This was the first Autumn Ball held since 2019 due to Covid-19.
With support from principal sponsor, Urquhart Opticians, the night took place in The Firth Pavilion at Seamill Hydro, as the event marked its 20th year.
Entertainment was provided by Edward Reid and music from Angelstar.
Ayrshire Hospice Autumn Ball Committee member, Graham Kirkwood said: “As part of an amazing committee that pulls this event together, I am so proud of what we all achieved.
"The location of Seamill Hydro, the staff, chefs, Edward Reid, Angelstar and all the amazing volunteers that made it possible to raise over £45000, thank you.
“But I want to acknowledge most of all, the support from the guests that makes this one of the most successful events in the Ayrshire Hospice calendar.
“Roll on 2023 for our 21st birthday and I look forward to seeing you all again, many thanks again for everyone’s support.”
Ayrshire Hospice Assistant Fundraising Manager Graeme Strawhorn added: “We’re delighted with the total raised of £45,426 from the Autumn Ball.
"It’s been an event that’s been greatly missed the last two years so everyone was definitely ready to enjoy themselves.
“Thank you to our sponsors on the night, supporting sponsors and everyone who donated prizes for the both the silent and main auction on the night.
"It was a fantastic night.”
