A WEST of Scotland MSP is set to relocate to an office premises in Ardrossan.
From November, Labour's Katy Clark will operate out of her new premises on Harbour Street, only metres from Asda and the Arran ferry terminal.
She will be located alongside fellow Labour MSPs Neil Bibby and Paul O'Kane in the office, which will operate from Monday to Friday 9am-5pm once open.
Clark says she is "thrilled" to be opening the new constituency office right in the heart of Ardrossan.
She said: “Since being elected as an MSP last year, I have strived to represent constituents’ interests, whether it be on a housing matter, employment, schools, transport or the NHS.
“The pandemic unfortunately delayed plans to open a physical office accessible to the public, with constituency surgeries predominantly held online. However, once it became possible I applied to the Scottish Parliament to open an office in North Ayrshire.
“I am now back to having face to face surgeries and thrilled to open a new office in Ardrossan. Constituents are still able to meet me online should they wish, and I am also happy to have phone surgery discussions if that suits better. I look forward to assisting constituents on a range of issues.
“As a West Scotland Regional List MSP, my office will be open to constituents across the whole West Scotland region, Monday to Friday.”
Kilwinning-born Ms Clark was Labour MP for North Ayrshire and Arran from 2005 to 2015
