A NATIONALLY renowned aesthetics clinic is set to expand by moving to Irvine, bringing a first of its kind business to the town.
SW Aesthetics, owned and operated by registered nurse Stephanie Worsley, will open its doors on 44-46 Bank Street on Wednesday, November 2.
The clinic is also registered with Healthcare Improvement Scotland - making it the first medical-led aesthetics clinic in Irvine.
The business will offer a wide range of treatments from fillers, botox, to a whole range of injectables.
While the clinic will also offer a range of training and mentoring opportunities which owner Stephanie says "Irvine has been missing".
She brings with her impressive pedigree, having won the Scottish Business Awards title for best aesthetics business in 2021, and best in Ayrshire for 2022 - meaning she will look to retain her national crown once more later in November.
Stephanie has been working in the industry since 2017, though it started as only a "wee extra" alongside her work as a district nurse until the business "grew and grew".
She gave up her full time NHS job three years ago to pursue working in aesthetics full-time, previously working in a room clinic in the village of Crosshouse.
Though Stephanie remains on the NHS bank list to keep her clinical skills, and she helped out significantly during the Covid pandemic when she was unable to open her clinic.
Now coming to Irvine with her talents, she says she cannot wait to make a difference for local people.
Stephanie told the Times: “I just enjoy when people look in the mirror and I’ve done something.
“My niche is the more natural look, we don’t want the big ‘you can’t move your face, massive lips’, it’s more turning back the time and making a better version of you.
“We don’t want everybody to look the same that comes out the clinic, we want you just to look a better version of yourself and perhaps like you did a few years ago.”
While Stephanie added that you don't just have to take her word for it, and her previous happy clients speak for themselves.
She commented: “Social media and word of mouth has helped build my business. I didn’t have a lot of friends or family that wanted me to go anywhere near them so it was good to have real life paying clients from the start.
“They say that I’m friendly, professional, and if anything went wrong, I’m a prescriber so I have access to the kind of drugs that would manage complications. I’ve got my nursing background as well.
“They keep coming back, so they’re obviously happy, they tell their friends and family which is great.
“I always think of my clients as ‘it’s my name on their face’ so if I do a good job then people are going to say I went to Steph.
“It’s only been good feedback, and that’s why I am able to expand and win awards – I must be doing alright!”
