A WOMAN was reportedly hit by a vehicle in Kilwinning's Main Street earlier this week.
According to Ayrshire Police, the female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at around 1.30pm on Thursday, November 10.
A police statement said: "Fortunately, the pedestrian was uninjured.
"The driver has subsequently been charged with driving without due care and attention.
"Drivers are reminded that a temporary order is in place at Main Street, Kilwinning - prohibiting vehicles of any description from using the Main Street pedestrian zone from 10.30am-3.30pm Monday-Saturday inclusive."
The statement added that officers from the Kilwinning locality team have been enforcing restrictions in Main Street as well as addressing issues of speeding in the area, with six drivers being issued with fixed penalty notices on Friday, November 11.
