Ayrshire Hospice’s Ladies Who Lunch will be holding their first event of 2023 later this week.
The North Ayrshire ladies will meet on Thursday January 12 at the Seamill Hydro Hotel & Resort.
Gathering at 12pm for a meal between 1pm at 3pm, those who go along can enjoy a two-course lunch with tea or coffee followed by entertainment for £20.
Chairperson for the group Maureen Muir said: “The Ladies Lunch has been running once a month now for five years.
“In a very friendly, relaxed atmosphere the ladies can enjoy an excellent two course lunch in the lovely Firth Suite, followed by a variety of entertainment.
“At the same time knowing they are helping to support The Ayrshire Hospice, which is currently raising funds to upgrade the existing Hospice.
“Many of our members have been attending regularly for some time but we are always delighted to welcome new faces!”
Menu highlights for the upcoming lunch include roast breast of chicken and haggis, neeps, and tatties.
The lunch will be followed by a performance of the poem 'Tam O'Shanter's Wean' by writer Ian McSeveny.
Lunches are held monthly from September through June with February’s planned for Thursday the ninth.
There’s no need to book a space in advance as those who wish to join can simply turn up.
If you would like to become a group member, you will be required to pay a fee of £10 per year on top of the £20 per month for each lunch.
Money raised from each lunch and from membership fees will go towards the hospice.
