Irvine’s Scottish Maritime Museum will play host to Ayrshire’s annual model railway exhibition next week.
Organised by the Kilmarnock and District Model Railway Club, the exhibition will take place across Saturday January 28 and Sunday January 29 in the museum’s Linthouse Building.
Open from 10am-5pm on Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday, the exhibition will contain three layouts alongside displays of collectors’ items and memorabilia, craft stalls, and vendors.
A club representative said: “This year we have layouts from Kilmarnock MRC, Renfrewshire MRC, Kyle MRC and an excellent O Gauge Diesel Depot ‘Ladeside’ from Mike Bisset.
“We are also happy to have Dave Coddington with his vintage model Railway stock stirring moments of nostalgia amongst modellers and visitors alike.
“This year we are experimenting with a number of craft stalls coming along for those whose interest is not primarily Model Railways.
“We are fortunate in that all our traders will be returning from last year.”
Adults and concessions cost £7 and £5 respectively while up to three under 16s can go free with a paying adult.
Parking is free and entry will allow access to the rest of the museum.
