A symphony of great musical events is happening across Ayrshire this week as shows spanning pop, rock, jazz, and folk are all set to grace the area.

The Whacky Wizard of Oz at the Harbour Arts Centre, Irvine – March 2 to March 4
This original panto is based off the classic story by L. Frank Baum and tells the tale of Dorothy and Toto’s journey back to somewhere more familiar than Kansas – Dreghorn!
ShowWorks Theatre’s production is sure to be a barrel of laughs and a perfect show for the whole family - especially those with younger kids.

An Evening with Ambrose Parry at the Dick Institute, Kilmarnock – March 2
Bestselling authors and husband and wife writing duo Chris Brookmyre and Marisa Haetzman will be coming to the Dick Institute to talk about their hit historical crime novels.
The couple will talk about The Way of All Flesh, The Art of Dying and A Corruption of Blood – a trilogy set in nineteenth century Edinburgh.

ABBA Tribute Night at the Carlton Hotel, Prestwick – March 3
Paying tribute to pop and disco legends ABBA, this evening will feature all the greatest hits from the iconic band.

Friday Night Jazz with the The Figiro Trio at The Seamill House Hotel, West Killbride – March 3
Take yourself back in time to the roaring 20s and enjoy a classy evening of light jazz and swing music at the Seamill’s Dunes Bar from 7pm.
The trio comprised of vocalist Fiona Kalin, pianist Gilmour Macleod, and double bassist Robert Kalin will be joined by a special guest drummer, West Kilbride’s John Kindness.
The Dark Side of the Moon Live at Ayr Town Hall - March 4
The Scottish Pink Floyd are coming to Ayr to celebrate 50 years of the band’s influential and iconic Dark Side of the Moon album.
During the two-and-a-half-hour set, the audience can listen to faithful covers of the album’s entire track list from start to finish.

Sunday Music at Belleisle Park – March 5
The Ayr Phoenix Folk Club will be treating visitors to traditional, folk, and acoustic music as well as poetry readings during this free daytime event held between 1-3pm.
Francie & Josie: Pure Nostalgia at the Gaiety’s Main Theatre – March 8
Honouring the classic variety entertainers, this new show rolls Summer Season and Five Past Eight into two hours of fun.
Starring Liam Dolan as Francie and Johnny Mac as Josie, the show will feature special guests who’ll join along for the trip down memory lane.
