Legally Blonde The Musical at The Gaiety’s Main Theatre – March 16 to 18

The hit musical follows the plot of the Reese Witherspoon comedy of the same name which sees sorority girl Elle Woods become a Harvard law student to win back her ex-boyfriend.

This production by Wellington School in Ayr is perfect for fans of the movie or of musicals in general.

Rod Stewart Tribute at the Carlton Hotel, Prestwick – March 17

Featuring all the hits from Rod’s five-decade long career, this tribute night isn’t one to be missed by fans of the rock star.

The Countess of Fife in the Harbour Arts Centre, Irvine – March 18

This Scottish alternative country act will be taking to the stage in Irvine to play songs from their first album Star of the Sea.

Fronted by the former singer of Scottish punk legends The Rezillos' Fay Fife, with Allan McDowall on guitar, the pair will be accompanied by Kirsten Adamson performing backing vocals, Willie Molleson on drums, and Al Gare on double bass with support from singer-songwriter Kirsten Adamson.

Ayr Choral Union Spring Concert at Ayr Town Hall – March 19

The 2023 spring concert will showcase seven spiritual songs in time for Easter and will feature pieces such as Steal Away and When the Saints go Marching in.

Andrew McTaggart will direct the show which features a choir, orchestra, and soloists Penelope Cousland, Matthew McKinney and Will Frost.

South Ayrshire Schools’ Bands at Ayr Town Hall – March 21

Young musicians from South Ayrshire are coming together to showcase their talents this week.

After 16 weeks of hard work and rehearsals the Pipe Band, Junior Concert Band, Senior Concert Band and Big Band will all be performing in the concert.

Giovanni Pernice: Made in Italy at The Gaiety’s Main Theatre – March 21

Taking the audience on a trip to Italy, Strictly Come Dancing star and 2021’s winner Giovanni will let audiences see the dancer’s homeland through dancing, singing, and amazing costumes.

The production will feature ballroom dancers and musical theatre singers, the show is sure to be the perfect night out for Strictly fans.

South Ayrshire Schools’ Percussion Ensembles – March 22

Talented young percussionists from across South Ayrshire will be displaying their skills in this upcoming show.

Enabled by the South Ayrshire Instrumental Music Service, who provide tutoring and lessons to school children, the show will showcase the area’s budding musicians who’ve worked hard throughout the school year.
