TWO children had to be taken to hospital following a car crash in Irvine.
One vehicle was involved in the incident which police confirmed they responded to on the evening of Friday, May 12.
Officers also confirmed that the crash was on Long Drive, with an eyewitness telling the Times that they believe this to have been around the Stanecastle Roundabout area of the road.
Police did not verify the age of the youngsters taken to hospital as a result of the crash - but stated they were taken to Crosshouse Hospital to be checked over and there were no reported injuries.
No further details were given with regards to the driver of the vehicle or the cause of the crash.
Recovery of the vehicle was arranged later that day.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.55pm on Friday, May 12, 2023, we were called to a report of a one-car crash on Long Drive, Irvine.
"Two children were taken to Crosshouse Hospital to be checked over. There were no reported injuries.
"Recovery was arranged."
