A POPULAR car dealership just outside Irvine has now closed down.
The Times can confirm that the Springside Motors Kia garage in the village of Springside has officially shut up shop.
It comes as the dealership was listed for sale with property company DM Hall.
It was added to their site with an asking price of offers over £395,000 though it was not made clear whether this sale would mean the closure of the car garage - or if it would be taken over by whoever purchased the property.
Though Kia were able to confirm that Springside Motors Kia has now closed.
A new dealership is now set to "effectively replace" the location - though this situated some 13 miles from Springside.
Arnold Clark Kia Ayr is set to take the place of Springside Motors. Situated on Wheatpark Place, the dealership was previously an Arnold Clark Toyata garage, and is located beside the company's Peugeot showroom.
Kia says that customers looking for new or used Kia cars, servicing MOTs or aftersales should now contact the new dealership.
Those with sales or servicing enquries can contact them on 01292 436060.
Further to this, in Kilmarnock, a new Kia authorised repairer has been appointed at Arnold Clark's garage on Western Road in the town.
Both new Arnold Clark locations, in Ayr and Kilmarnock, are fully operational and already assisting local customers.
