AN IRVINE family plagued with power cuts in their home are set to be compensated after another outage on Thursday night.
The Times reported yesterday that Samantha Butcher and partner Jon Mackie, of Doura Place, had been told three times by electricians that their home needs to be completely rewired.
The couple, who share the house with five children, one of them autistic, said their power went off on Tuesday evening.
Jon said: "My partner Samantha is in serious distress about all this. We have five weans in the house, one of them autistic, with chronic lung disease."
Landlords Lomond Properties told the Times yesterday that the problem had been fixed.
But last night, their power supply cut out once again, leaving the family in more distress.
Lomond say they are now fitting a new fuse box in the Irvine property and have agreed to compensate the family for food loss from their fridge and freezer.
