IRVINE Meadow have confirmed that two big players for the club will be departing.
The pai will be heading across Ayrshire to a West of Scotland Football League (WoSFL) rival in the form of Auchinleck Talbot.
Medda confirmed that both Connor Boyd and Neil Slooves will be leaving the club when their contact expires at the end of this month.
And the voids left by the pair will be hard to fill - adding to the headache given to boss Kevin Deeney, who has already lost last season's top scorer Callum Graham to Clydebank.
In Connor Boyd, who joined the club from amateur football in 2020, they have now lost their second top scorer, with the forward having scored nine times last campaign.
While defender Slooves, who came to Irvine in 2019, has been in and out of the starting 11 this season however has still played a pivotal role for Medda over the years.
His height and physical presence has been a key factor in many strong defensive showings - and has helped him pop up with a few goals too.
Slooves provided three goals this season, making him the clubs fourth top scorer last campaign.
While Auchinleck are delighted to have the Medda pair on board for next season.
A committee spokesperson said: “Auchinleck Talbot FC welcome both players to Beechwood Park, and wish to thank the Irvine Meadow XI committee and management staff for their cooperation during both transactions.
"We also wish them all the very best for next season."
