A guitarist hailed as one of the greatest in the world is heading to Irvine this weekend.
Preston Reed will play the Harbour Arts Centre on Saturday night, June 10.
Reed revolutionised the way the acoustic guitar is played in the 1980s and 1990s.
He has inspired generations of musicians and enthralled audiences around the world ever since.
The power and depth of Reed's timeless, imagery-evoking compositions are as unique as his eye-opening guitar techniques.
Blues, rock, metal, funk, jazz and classical styles are distilled into a breath-taking musical and visual experience - a genre-crossing musical language that tells stories without words.
As millions of viewers of his videos have discovered, Reed's performances continue to define the pioneering, compositional guitar approach he invented over three decades ago.
Total Guitar wrote that he is, “widely thought of as the world’s most gifted guitarist”.
Tickets are still available for the show at Irvine's HAC, which begins at 7.30pm.
