UPDATE: Police confirmed this morning, Thursday June 15, that John McLardy has been traced safe and well.
POLICE are growing increasingly concerned for an Ayrshire man who has been missing for more than two days.
John McLardy, 64, was last seen in Portland Street in Kilmarnock on Monday, June 12.
And officers are now appealing to the wider public in the county to help with their search.
More specifically, they are looking for any information from Irvine - where he is known to frequently visit pubs.
John is described as being around five feet and eight inches tall and of average build. He is bald, with grey facial hair.
When he was last seen, John was known to be wearing a deerstalker hat, blue jeans and a t-shirt which is either navy or khaki.
As time goes on since his last sighting, police are becoming increasingly concerned for John, and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Police Sergeant Garrett, of Ayr Police Station, said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for John.
"He is known to visit pubs in Irvine and Kilmarnock, and I would appeal to anyone who sees him to get in touch.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting 0115 of June 12, 2023.
