Kilwinning’s wee ones had a great time at the Nethermains Community Centre fun day in August 2008.
Marymass Queen-elect Kerri-Ann Murdoch, pictured with her four Marys, was looking forward to the annual Irvine festivities beginning.
Girl Guides and Brownies from all over Irvine and Kilwinning trooped along to Eglinton Park to meet their international guests - around 700 of them. Youngsters from as far away as Nigeria and the USA met up as Girlguiding Ayrshire North hosted an international camp.
Local athlete David McNamee was delighted at being sponsored by Irvine’s Asda branch in his quest to reach the Commonwealth Games. A cheque of £500 was presented to him last week as part of the sponsorship. He is pictured with Caroline Wilson and Brendan Chambers.
Youngsters in Dreghorn were delighted as the sun came out to make their fun day at Dundonald Park all the more enjoyable.
