Organisers of the Marymass Flower Show have urged Irvine residents to join in the fun.
They are hoping to attract lots of new entries to this year's show which, as revealed last week, is making a return after a four year absence.
The show will be held in the Volunteer Rooms on Monday, August 28 and the Marymass Queen will declare the event open at 3pm.
Bill Anderson, secretary of the show organisers Irvine Horticultural Society, said: "We have lost a few exhibitors over the last four years and our committee is depleted, but we would ask, and encourage, everyone to help us out by bringing along cut flowers, pot plants, floral art, vegetables, fruit, baking, knitwear and handicrafts, which consists of basically anything that can be made or drawn/painted.
"There is a children's section too. We'd liked to be surprised by the amount of people who might bring along their produce and goods.
"Don't think that your flowers and veg need to be perfect. It isn't the Chelsea Flower Show.
"Bring along some cut flowers or that old pot plant you've had for years or one that you've had for at least six weeks.
"Come along, we'd be pleased to see you and you can usually get some friendly advice from our regular exhibitors.
"The Flower Club has disbanded, therefore, the ladies won't be doing a tea room and we have lost one of the side rooms but we will try our best to compensate."
