VIRGIN Money has confirmed when it will close its bank store in Irvine.
The company confirmed the closure of the High Street branch last week - and said that it would notify its customers of the official closure dates once these are known.
It added that it would also be advertised at the stores at least 12 weeks prior to closure.
And customers in Irvine say they have now received letters confirming the closure date - which they say is November 20.
That means that customers' closest Virgin Money branch from that day will be Kilmarnock, with nearby Ayr also having a branch.
The Irvine branch is one of six across Scotland to be closed by Virgin Money.
The company said its closure plans come "as it adapts to changing customer demand".
The other Scottish branches which will close are all in smaller towns in rural areas - in Ellon, Fort William, Lochgilpead, Newton Stewart and Turriff.
The bank plans to close a further 32 stores elsewhere in the UK.
The bank says it will try to "retain as many as possible within alternative roles" - but has warned there is a "risk of redundancy" for some staff.
