IRVINE'S harbourside has received a welcome boost after another business opened in the busy section of North Ayrshire coastline.

And it is another restaurant and takeaway that has joined the existing list of businesses in the area.

Nonna's House opened at the end of last month, filling a gaping hole in the harbourside.

The eatery opened on Montgomery Street, inside what was formerly Nancy's Kitchen.

The property had been empty since September of last year when Nancy's closed for good, saying it was no longer able to operate amid the rising costs associated with running the business.

It was news which disappointed people across Irvine who were fans of the restaurant's burgers, toasties, tango ice blasts and loaded chips.

Nearly 10 months later, food is back on offer at the premises.

Nonna's House is a restaurant/takeaway which offers "authentic hand streetched pizzas" from 12-10pm everyday.

It offers sit-in, takeaway, collections and deliveries from the eatery at 112 Montgomery Street.

The menu includes 11 different pizzas, which are made with fresh dough everyday.

Nonna's House also provides a range of sides and dips to accompany pizza.

It has launched a Facebook page which shows some of the excellent dishes on offer - and has also created a website which people can order from and view their menu.

These can be found on Facebook here or online at https://nonnas.house/.
