A POPULAR Irvine bar and kitchen has confirmed that it will be re-opening.
The Clubhouse on East Road has been closed for a number of years now, having once been one of the most popular spots for nightlife in the town.
Its cocktails were known all around the town, with quirky creations such as anti-venoms particulary popular with customers.
Also well known for its food, it has left a gaping hole since the decision was taken to close down after first opening back in 1995.
But a new social media page created this week has confirmed the news that many locals would have thought they would never hear again.
A post said: "Welcome to The Clubhouse Irvine. We are re-opening very soon with a wide selection of drinks and food with entertainment and live sport also."
And since the announcement was made, excitement has been building as more information is teased.
They have been posting new dishes coming onto the menu, and asking for local suggestions of what they would like to see. They have also asked the same questions about the ever popular cocktails.
While the popular venue is also advertising for bar and kitchen staff on both a part-time and full-time basis.
The news has gone down a storm in Irvine, with hundreds of people tagging their friends and sharing the news of the re-opening plans.
No official date has been set as of yet but plenty people are now reminiscing and looking forward to making more memories at The Clubhouse.
