A MAN who was ordered not to contact his ex-partner landed himself in hot water after he failed to comply.
Dylan Prentice, 20, had previously been granted bail at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on May 9, after pleading guilty to two charges at an earlier hearing in relation to his ex-partner.
Prentice admitted to assaulting his former girlfriend by repeatedly pushing her on the body and attempting to seize her by the neck at Herriot Watt University in Edinburgh on May 4.
He also admitted to a further charge, on the same day, of acting in a threatening or abusive manner towards his ex-partner, which was likely to cause her fear or alarm, in that he shouted, swore and uttered offensive remarks towards her.
After admitting both charges Prentice was granted bail as he awaited sentencing - under conditions which included that he did not communicate or attempt to communicate with his ex-partner.
But he landed himself back at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court this week as he pleaded guilty to breaching these bail conditions.
He did so on June 15, at an address in Irvine, where he contacted his former partner without any reasonable excuse.
After admitting a further charge Prentice, of Woodside Tower in Motherwell, was again granted bail with attached conditions.
He is due to return to court to be sentenced at a later date.
