An organ recital will be held in Irvine this weekend to raise funds for a local primary School.
Sam Prescott, the organist at Irvine Old Parish Church, will perform at a concert called Farewell to Summer this Saturday, September 2, at 2pm in aid of nearby Glebe Primary School.
For the past few years, Irvine Old Parish has been involved in 'Support the School Fund' administered by Glebe's head teacher, and has helped the pupils in several ways.
David Whitelaw, the church's session clerk, said: "In these difficult times with costs rising daily, our church's support for the school is even more important.
"Following Sam's recital, the church will be able to make another donatuion to the school."
The recital will include music to suit all tastes. Entry will cost £5 and can be paid at the door, while under 18s go free.
