An Irvine man has denied downloading and possessing child abuse images and extreme pornography in his home over eight years.
James McCormack is alleged to have taken, permitted to have taken or made indecent images children from his address in East Bowhouse Way.
The 65-year-old faces a second charge of possessing the indecent images during the same period from November 1 2014 and March 1 2022.
He faces a further charge of possessing extreme pornography, specified as bestiality and a sexualised image of extreme violence.
Bail was granted under special conditions restricting his internet use and access to children.
Mr McCormack will return to court to face the charges at a later date.
