Irvine's Rainbow Arts and Crafts are holding a special event for World Alzheimer's Day later this month.
They have set Thursday, September 21 aside for people living with dementia to come along to their centre in Unit 3 Montgomery Street, Irvine and relax and participate in fun and engaging events.
Shop owner Eileen McMeekin said: "Having worked with Alzheimer Scotland in the past and having family living with Alzheimer's I am more than happy to open shop on this day for only people living with dementia or similar and carers.
"I also worked on the Alzheimer's Helpline and dementia has no barrier to who it affects."
There will be a free drink and snack for carers who are accompanying dementia patients to the craft shop on the day.
