Fundraising firefighters at Dreghorn station put their skills with a hose to another use to help raise money for a sick tot in need.
They were all too happy to scrub up the cars of passers-by - so long as they made a donation to the Jessica Appeal which was raising cash to send a little girl to the US for vital medical treatment

The Marymass Flower Show was yet another colourful and successful festival event in 2008. MP Brian Donohoe was pictured with new Carters Captain Danny Kerr, Marymass Queen Kerri-Ann Murdoch and her Marys.
