A PAIR of Irvine teenagers have been handed a fine after admitting to committing assault on the town's Dickson Drive.
Joshua Robinson, 19, and Tyler McIlroy, 18, were appearing as co-accused at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court this week in relation to an incident on the Irvine street on February 20, 2022 - when the pair were both aged 17.
Both facing two charges, both pleaded guilty to one assault each - though not the same incident - and not guilty to the other. These pleas were accepted by prosecutors.
Robinson, of Rannoch Place in Irvine, admitting to assaulting a man by punching him on the head causing him to fall to the ground and repeatedly punch and kick him on the head and body all to his injury.
While McIlroy, also of Rannoch Place, pleaded guilty to assaulting a different man, also punching him on the head causing him to fall to the ground and repeatedly punch and kick him on the head and body, all to his injury.
After their guilty pleas, both McIlroy and Robinson were ordered to pay fines of £370.
