This week we are looking back 15 years to the Irvine and Kilwinning stories from November 2008.
Who do you recognise in these photos?
These Towerlands youngsters looked very recognisable as they helped raise money for Children in Need in 2008 thanks to their Pudsey facepaint.
Kilwinning Fire Station held a Design A Poster competition as part of a community safety awareness campaign aimed at reducing the number of hoax calls and making children aware of the dangers on the run up to bonfire night. The winners of the competition, Emily Dean (10) from Blacklands Primary and Emily Marno (8) and Megan Mitchell (10) both of Corsehill Primary, are pictured above.

Talented Kilwinning hairdresser Charlene Grant won a clutch of awards at the 2008 Scottish hairdressing championship. She won the title of best Scottish gents hairdresser and picked up a swanky trophy for her efforts.
