A GROUP of Irvine school pupils have organised a fundraising event in a bid to raise cash for a men's mental health charity.
A team of youngsters from Greenwood Academy will be taking part in a football fundraiser as they look to offer their support for The Kris Boyd Charity.
The "group of lads" have arranged an epic clash between the bibs and non-bibs at the school's astroturf park on Friday, November 17, in their efforts to raise vital cash for this cause.
The match will take place from 11am until 12.20pm with all funds raised as a result of the event going to the charity set up to help those suffering with mental health issues by the former Rangers and Kilmarnock striker.
Ahead of the match and fundraising page has been set up on gofundme for those wishing to make a donation.
Since the kind-hearted pupils launched this, and amazing £720 has already been raised for what they say is a "great cause".
Anyone wishing to provide support can do so online at www.gofundme.com/f/557eq-mens-mental-health-fundraiser.
