A school bus to Saltcoats has been delayed in Irvine following a "police incident".
Staff at St Matthew's Academy in Saltcoats have this morning informed parents of delays to two school buses travelling from Irvine to the school.
The school account posted on X (formerly Twitter) early this morning to confirm the delays and reasons for these.
One bus, which is travelling to Harbourside, Tarryholme, Fullarton Road, and Ayr Road, is said to be running ten minutes late due to a breakdown.
While the school have said that the buses travelling through Middleton Road are also delayed due to a "police incident".
At the time, the school advised that pupils should remain at the bus stops until their vehicle arrives.

The buses travelling through Middleton Road are also delayed due to a police incident.

Police Scotland were contacted for comment and have since claimed they have no official record of an incident in the area.
